New gutters and downpipes in Grantham
On Checkatrade’s Grantham page, uPVC guttering averages £634 and aluminium guttering £1,248. Let us know the house type and how many metres need renewing, and we’ll reply with a couple of visit times.

Should I go for uPVC or aluminium gutters?
uPVC is the usual choice: it’s light, comes in several profiles and is the cheaper of the two on Checkatrade’s Grantham figures. Seamless aluminium is formed on site in long runs, so there are fewer joints to leak, and it costs more. If your roof is large or steep, ask whether a deeper profile is worth it.
Gutters only, or the whole roofline?
New gutters screw to the fascia boards. If those boards are soft or flaking, fixing new gutters to them may not last. That’s why many people price the gutters and the full roofline at the same time, then decide. Checkatrade’s Grantham page lists “Rotten timber replacement” as an additional cost to consider, so your written quote should say what happens if rot turns up once the old gutters come down.
What about clearing gutters?
A clear-out on its own is a small job, and it isn’t what we focus on; our focus is planned renewal. If your gutters are being replaced, the old ones go anyway. If you only want them cleared, say so in the form and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s something we can help with.
Questions people ask
What size downpipe do I need?
That comes down to the gutter profile and roof area; it should be matched to the gutter system chosen, and the quote should name both.
